The Idea

'CF' (Collect Frenzy) is a prototype idea for a single-screen arcade style game with vibrant visuals and simple engaging gameplay.

I tried to create a striking visual design, with a dynamic background which is used extensively to give feedback and 'character' to the experience. 

How to Play

There is only one input mechanic - move your 'character' around the circle. Click / tap and drag to move.

Collect blue bits for points and to progress, and avoid red and orange obstacles that come from the center.

The further you get, the harder the game becomes, and the faster the gameplay moves.

Note: The web version of the game doesn't save your progress and stats between loads, but the download versions will.

Development Status

The core experience is "complete", though there is room to expand with challenges, more variation in patterns, and other mechanics to make each run more variable. I put development on hold / shelved the idea as I was never fully satisfied with the controls, and that sort of dampened other ideas for the game.

I've revived it for portfolio reasons, but have enjoyed playing it again. With fresh eyes on it, I can see potential again and might continue working on it, but have no hard plans for anything just yet.
